3rd visit

Had a visit with her! How good it is to see her!  Among all the chit chat she had some encouraging things to say.  She says that I can count on it!!! She says she will not ever do anything to go back in prison.  She said that she cant say never because they might not like her nail polish while she is on parole and send her back. But insists that she will never do anything intentionally to go back.  She says she will never ever take another drug either.  It is good to hear her so passionate about her life and determination.  I didnt tell her but I do realize people relapse.  She has several times but she is very determined.  She attending na meetings, which she would never have done on the outside, even though court ordered to.  She said at 31 years old she is just starting her life!  She said that she has wasted so many years.  Oh it makes my heart sing to hear these words. She said that i will never ever know what it was like being addicted to pills. The drive to make sure she had enough for the next day.  The drive to not be drug sick.  But she also said the she will never ever know the emotional, physical and mental pain that we have gone through because of her.  And she is right on both accounts.  I love this girl and am so glad God gave us the strength to stick by her through it all.
