It's been a while since I wrote an entry so just thought I would provide an update on what's going on with me.  On December 16th our one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Riley, got his Canine Good Citizen (CGC).  Our other Cav Reggie came close but not quite.  Oh well he will get it next time along as well as our Sheltie, Teeger.  Riley and I will probably be starting orientation and training for Therapy Dogs, Incorporated so that we can do therapy visits together.  Teeger and Reggie will eventually be going through the same.  I got hearing aids on Dec. 19th.  It was time to finally bite the bullet and just get them.  Now comes the fun of trying to get the insurance company to help pay for them.  Oh well even if they don't end up paying I am gonna appeal their decision as far as I can go.  I start an Introduction to American Sign Language class on Jan. 23rd.  I am looking forward to that.  If I really enjoy the class I may go for an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences in Deaf Studies.  I saw my fibro. doc yesterday and he increased my Lyrica.  He wants to work me up to the dosage recommended for fibro., but since I have had nausea problems before from some medication he is being cautious which I appreciate.  My knees seem to be doing worse so I will once again mention that to my rheumy and after my hubby has is cornea transplant I may be consulting with a orthopedic surgeon.  My primary doc told me that knee replacement surgery is in my future which I expected since two of my three older brothers have had it done and the other one is trying to hold out as long as he can to have it done. Well that's all for now from me. I hope everyone has a very Happy and Healthy 2008.Cheryl
