I had a very frustrating and confusing visit with this endocrinologist who I saw for the second time today. Looks like it's time to find another. Anyway, she did switch me to synthroid and upped my dosage a little which I do think was a good idea. She said I do not have Hashimoto's cause my TPO was in the normal range. She said that my antithyroglobulin antibodies test which normal is 0-20 and mine was 202 meant nothing. She said it's not specific to thyroid and that we are working on regulating my thyroid so that is unimportant. Silly me but I thought that would point to an autoimmune thyroid problem which makes me more likely to have another autoimmune condition which may help explain my other isssues. It took me two hours from start to finish to see the doctor 5-7 minutes who was very arrogant and condescending. Plus I had to wait a half hour alone to get my new prescription and a bloodwork form. Maybe if she saw a reasonable amount of patients in a day she could do her job better. Plus she keeps having me do tests in her office I don't understand why. Why if I am not diabetic or complaining of circulatory problems would I need to have the blood pressure in my ankles done? Go figure. I didn't stay to wait to schedule my next appointment either and I get a call with not only my next appointment but a couple tests scheduled for her office so I called back and cancelled them all. Definitely time to find someone else. Sorry enough ranting. Later all.Cheryl
