Yesterday I saw my primary doc and found out what she wanted to discuss.  She is going to have me get a CT scan to rule out mastoiditis as per the sinus xrays.  I was glad she wrote the order for that.  I thought it was sort of silly for the ENT to say to wait six months and he would do a recheck and decide whether the CT scan was needed or not.  I was recommended another ENT doc through the audiologist and my primary doc said he was good so I may be switching over to him.  I already made an appointment for the end of this month so I will have the CT scan results when I go see him which will be good so we can talk about my sinuses as well as my hearing loss.  My primary doc as well as the audiologist said it is unusual that I should be getting this level of high frequency hearing loss at my age and doesn't think it is from my past ear infections as an adult which I was told back in 1996.  It will be interesting what this ENT has to say about it. Later allCheryl
