I saw a new fibro doc last Monday. At first I thought we were going to have a problem when he said you have been to this practice before and didn't follow up did you just come back to get disability?  The other doc from the practice I had seen over three years ago and when they did the pressure point test they said I didn't have fibro and I don't recall any follow up being mentioned.  Anyway, things got better after that.  He did seem to think I have fibro and started my on Lyrica and also prescribed percoset for severe break through pain.  He recommended one percoset but I think I will try a half after taking one Tuesday night and Wednesday am having severe nausea and dizziness and feeling cruddy the rest of the day.  We will see how that goes.  I talked to my one brother today.  He has a retinal detachment on one eye that they had to do immediate surgery on on Saturday.  They aren't sure how much vision if any he will have in that eye.  I am hoping he gets a halfway decent level of vision back the poor guy.  He said it came on very fast.  He also asked me if I was nearsighted and yes I have been for many years.  He asked if I have any problems with my eyes.  I said I do get little specks of light that appear before my eyes from time to time.  He said the condition is genetic and with those factors I should see an opthamologist cause I could be at risk for a retinal detachment as well.  I will be making an appointment in the am just to be safe.  Later all. Cheryl
