Monday I saw the foot doctor to look over the toe he numbed and drained an infection from a couple weeks ago. He scraped it and cut more of the nail off and it looks worse than before:(. He recommended orthotics. I asked how much he said let's see if insurance will cover it first. I said I called with the code his office gave and they said no and he said it would be $365. I said I can't afford that and he said oh well I guess then you will be having a lot of blisters in your future. He thinks the infection was caused by some blisters on that foot from when I exercise on the Gazelle. Tuesday I went to the gyne since I didn't have a period since the one starting in Jan. and then April first I just basically spotted for 14 days. She did hormone tests and if it verifies perimenopause she is gonna put me on the pill. I warned her that I had real bad mood swings when I was on it when I was younger she said today's dosage is a lot lower so we will see what happens. Yesterday afternoon I went to see my neurologist. He didn't have any problem whatsoever writing up an order for a new MRI of the cervical spine to compare to the one done two years ago to see if there have been any changes and if that would explain my increase in pain or if it is most likely my fibro. is the culprit. We will see what happens. Was very glad he at least was so receptive to the idea. He also is doing a nerve test to see if the pain mostly in my one wrist and tingling and numbness in fingers is due to carpal tunnel. My primary doc thinks it is, but didn't suggest testing to verify it for what reason I do not know. Tomorrow I see the Rheumatologist. Boy I sure am doctored out this week and I get to go to my allergist next week and have the MRI of my cervical spine done. Yippee NOT.
