Today I got to thinking about something I hadn't thought about in a while. My one Grandmother (Dad's Mom) had what they used to call in the old days neuralgia. From what I was told (she died before I was born) she was in pain a lot and spent a lot of time laying down resting and my Dad's Aunts often would take my Dad and do things with him. It makes me wonder if what they used to call neuralgia back then is what would be considered fibromyalgia today and maybe I inherited the tendency towards it from that side of the family.

Its curious isn\'t it? My mom, who has alzheimers and I care for, has extreme pain when walking. I know she\'s 70 but, it seems more difficult for her and it makes me wonder too. She has had this pain since she was in her 40s.
It sure does make you wonder. My mom had arthritis beginning in her forties so it doesn\'t surprise me I have arthritis in my knees especially since two of my three older brothers have had knee replacement surgeries. When heard about my Dad\'s Mom though with needing to lay down and rest frequently and the pain it made me think of fibro.
My cousin, my aunt and my grandmother(dads side), all of us have the fibromyalgia, my grandmother was dxed with several of the things I have, but I think for sure it is heritiy
