I went to an internist specializing in weight loss yesterday. He recommended the South Beach Diet. I may give it a try. I mentioned to him the exercise routine I currently have about 20 mins per day walking my dog about 20 mins doing my back exercises and 30-40 minutes on the Gazelle at home or treadmill or other cardio item at the gym. He said if I have fibro like the other doctors think I am one of the more active people with it he knows. He recommended that I do a cardio workout of 45 mins with my heart rate between 120-130 and a 5-10 min. warm up. I tried to do the 45 minutes of more strenous exercise yesterday and this morning and ended up in a lot of pain. I left a message for him about it. I am willing to keep exercising but can't make it so strenous that I am in a lot of pain even doing it. I am use to pain with exercise with fibro but not as much as I was experiencing. He also suggested I give Phentermine a try which I am. I know to keep the weight off if the drug works I will have to keep exercising and watching what I eat. I know it's not a cure all, but I decided to give it a try.

I did Weight Watchers for two years following the birth of my last child. (He turned 2 in October) I had the boys pretty much back to back and didn\'t have time to lose the weight in between. (They are 20 months apart in age) I love Weight Watchers, I think it is easy to follow and teaches you a way to eat that you can follow for the rest of your life. Basically it\'s all about portion control. The best part is you don\'t have to give up all the things that you like as long as it\'s in moderation! I went from 199 pounds down to my lowest weight that was 132 pounds at the end of last summer. I haven\'t been working out as hard as I was before due to pain so I\'m hanging out at around 140 these days....but I can live with that. (I am 5 feet 6 inches tall by the way) I have gone down from a size 16 to a size 6,8 or 9 depending on the jeans and the department that I get them from. Anyway.....just a thought! I wish you all the best!! Have a great weekend!!

I\'ve done Weight Watchers. A good program, but I wasn\'t terribly successful with it personally.

Well I just need to listen to my body when it comes to exercise a little pain I can tolerate and expect but when it\'s more than that I need to stop no matter what a doctor may recommend. I am the one living in my body not them.
