Well, I just got back from my seventh physical therapy session. I feel a little headachy, but otherwise okay. During my next session on Friday my physical therapist is gonna do a re-evaluation of me and decide how much longer I will be coming to PT. He's a nice guy and all and so is his one assistant, but I really don't feel it is doing me any good despite the fact that I have been doing the specified exercises twice a day as well as going to my scheduled sessions. I think my referral is for a total of twelve session, but I am really hoping I don't have to continue going for that long since in my opinion it isn't helping me.

In addition to physical therapy and the exercises recommended I also walk my dog daily and also regularly spend some time on my Gazelle. The walking seems to help some with my arthritis and other pain I have. It doesn\'t seem to be helping with the weight issue though unfortunately. I think the key to getting into the habit of regular exercise is start slow and build up gradually over time. Also, it helps if you have some support or motivation to exercise from others (a walking partner, etc.) and/or a reward system you devise for yourself (if I exercise for x minutes x times this week I will reward myself with y). I find the biggest motivator for me is getting up in the morning and see my dog anxiously awaiting for us to go on our walk as well as keeping a record of what exercise I did for that particular day. Good luck. It isn\'t easy that\'s for sure. We all slide too at one time or another. Don\'t give up if you have a slip in your exercise plan just get back on it. You should be proud of yourself for at least starting to walk a little. Sorry if I am rambling.
