They no longer needed my services at work. I was told two days ago, tomorrow is my last day. Isn't that short notice? Aren't I supposed to get two weeks? If I had known a week ago, I would have had a job today. The university had asked me to teach in the Spring. Crazy isn't it? I can sub. the scoring company season is coming up. My loans are coming due, I have to work somewhere. I actually cried a little when they told me. They were ok about it. I am getting good recommendations out of the deal. It won't appear as a 'firing' on my record, just finishing up a support position and moving on. but should I? Should I even continue in this type of job? It was 60+ hours a week. It took the life out of me. I will miss the kids. They were good kids. Even the one that was a spoiled rotten rich brat. I am in shock, I have cried, especially when I look at my family, I couldn't make it in the door without crying the day I came home. I am now $6000 in debt for doing this (this includes whatever money I made). For God's sake, I have a masters degree, a bachlor's, this is insane! and I can't think of where I can work right now. I am a linguist, spanish speaking, teaching, customer service, office skills, photography, sales (although prefer not to do this). You would think I could get a decent job.
