I spent the evening updating my memorial to my daughter with some new photos. It brought back good memories and reminded me just how loving my daughter was. She was always so appreciative of me, and often left notes on my pillow expressing her love and appreciation for my helping raise my granddaughter. I miss her so much, but I am focusing on how much I learned from her about courage and kindness. She was studying to be a pre-school teacher, and was fantastic with children. My heart breaks for all the children that will not have the joy of my daughter teaching them. My granddaughter is studying the same thing, with an emphasis on art education for children. She is also great with kids, but for now she is working at a convalescence home while she goes to school. The memorial is at: www.johnbaxter.com/libra/

My granddaughter is doing well but had a difficult time Saturday night. She is so busy working that I think it finally caught up to her, when she came home and was able to relax. She misses her mom so much, as do I. She had a good cry, and I talked with her about how proud her mom was of her, and that she was the best thing that ever happened to my daughter. My daughter was studying to work with children, the same as my granddaughter. I told her that she can fulfill both their dreams.
