Ok so back at the office after the meeting with RE, not sure why I’m pretty much just going to be a body at a desk, brain is somewhere else!   No surprises, I suppose that’s kinda of good. But there are a few options to consider. -Another Fresh cycle (just go for it)- Cycle of Lurpon then another a cycle (treat the Endo)- Surgery, hopefully Laparoscopy, but might end up Laparotomy (treat the Hydro), then     Fresh cycle-Surgery plus Lupron cycle, then Fresh cycle (for Endo and Hydro)The there’s the well there are some “experimental” options to deal with Hydro-          By Hysteroscopy go in and “cauterize” the tube shut or use some “coil” now used for birth control to block off the tube and in time the “skin” or whatever uncloses the coil thereby blocking off the tube.   ARGH! Anyway, so found out that cleaning my Endo out surgically will not help the conception aspect, only helps when mild to moderate Endo, so I’m not going to be so concerned about that, the Lupron however that has show to have very positive effects on severe Endo and conception with IVF, ok. The experimental with “cauterization” sounds good BUT there a concern about how close uterus/tube and bowel are and whether the ‘heat” will negatively effect bowel, not good!?! They could “see” with a Laparoscopy camera the bowel, etc during the procedure but then that’s sort of silly if we’re going with this one to avoid the other to begin with.    I think my gut is saying go with the Lupron, then Lap, then Fresh. They can’t definitively say that it’s the hydro or not, or even that’s it the endo. That’s the problem, but the is reason enough to believe that BOTH are a major factor and so trying to take care of both seems like the bet way to go.   Here was the best part of the meeting, and why I LOVE my RE. At the end she told us that she truly understood that what we were going through was unfair and the decisions we had to make weren’t easy. She was impressed and found it admirable that I took such an “advocate role” in my treatment, that especially with the challenges my Endo causes its incredibility important. That we really do have a “raw deal”, that nothing we did caused this, or could have stopped it, we have done everything we could. That she knows that we were handling this all so well. And of course that she’s determined to get us our children. She also mentioned that her saying all that doesn’t “help” but I assured her that it really does. So we'll talk it over tonight, she wanted us to take a couple days to weight the options.
