I’m regaining my perspective, dealing with yet another heartbreak as well as I can, actually mildly surprised at how well. I guess all that mind-body and acupuncture stuff might have worked in some ways. DH & I were talking last night and I told him that we’ll give ourselves this week to grieve and process, then come Sunday no more. Not that it would be with us, but no more talking about it or the whole thing in general. We’ll give ourselves a break until the meeting with RE on the 28th. Focus on other things, like us. I’m making my self a promise, I’ll spend this “break” to get the balance back and rejuvenate for whatever is next. My plan: -Keep up with Acupuncture, I thinks it’s helping me dedicate time to wholly relaxing. -Lose the cycle weight with a walking/working out routine and a yoga class once a week.-Mini make over – nice mani & pedi, new hair cut. -Work on my garden, DH is going to make me a potting bench and long box for veggies. -Going to do more actual cooking, get out the cook books and try some things I’ve been wanting to. -Spring cleaning – house, clean out closet, etc-Finally get wedding photographs up on walls! -Host a girl’s night/wine tasting and a dinner party with DH’s work friends-And last but certainly not least more quality time with DH. That should keep me busy but in a healthy and productive way. The last time I made myself promises too, I followed though with most and in turn this cycle, although it did not end the way we’d hoped it did go a lot smoother in a lot of ways, we handled it together and didn’t lose quite so much of ourselves in the process, so hopefully the promises I make this time will help us with the next step, next fight. But at the very least it will give me time to rest and recoup so that I’ll have the fight in me. The love and support I have received here and with my friends and family has amazed me. I certainly credit my ability to feel as “good” – relative term this week- as I do today to you and them.
