So this weekend was one very late night with the girls and two very close to absolutely NOTHING days! Last minute Friday a co-workers suggested I head out with her and her friends to this new bar, there’s this whole she was to meet up with a cute flirty vendor things going now, DH was working late and of course with the cycle officially kicking into high gear next weekend I figured I need a night out. Boy did I need it! I mean don’t get me wrong I love my life (I’m in cup is half full mode). I’m very happy not only to be married but to who I am, I love my friends, and despite this whole IF thing I love where I am in my life, starting a family etc. But I can’t deny, especially right now, that I do kind miss the “out and about” aspects of “my other life”. Getting dressed, headed out on the town with the girls for a little trouble ;0)  It was so nice to just be out, and just be Loren, no domestic diva, no baby talk, no husband talk (well a little husband not but not like with other married people), no IF!  Just the girls, a few drinks, and socializing. It’s amazingly freeing. The getting home at after 2am, well I was reminded about how seldom I do that the next day with how little energy I had. Tired not hangover, just to make that clear, I know TTC friends get sensitive about alcohol consumption. So Saturday I DID NOTHING, watched movies on the couch. Sunday I did the laundry and cleaning stuff. And now today, Monday, it’s time to get back on track, pomegranate juice at breakfast, nice health lunch of salad and chicken (made at home so I know it’s nice lean stuff), orange and apple for sweets, baby carrots and almonds for snacks. Make a quick stop at grocery store on my way home and then when I get home time for some meditation and yoga. Might even take a nice bath after, I’ll fit in making dinner, instead of the other way around ;0) Get out those one pot meals so there’s little clean up. I made a nice Malaysian shrimp curry last night, I can do quick pasta tonight! All about the balance and by that I mean giving me the time to do what I need to keep me balanced.   Oh, my “this is a good friend” story, as I mentioned I have a girlfriend having her first baby well pretty much any day now. DH went over to take maturity shots of her (he’s a photog), I stayed home, and played it of as I was tired form the night before but if I was being totally truthful I didn’t want to push my luck. So DH comes home and tells me that my friend wanted to reiterate that she does not want me to feel pressured to come to the hospital, as much as she loves me, she knows how hard this must be and that she also knows that has nothing at all to do with our friendship or how happy she knows I am for her. That here is plenty of time for us all and that I can come whenever I feel I want to, there is NO obligation and COMPLETE understanding. I am to do what’s best for me right now. She told my DH this because she knows how damn good a friend I am and that  I’ll be there for my friends even if that means it’s at my “demise”. And that DH will remind me that I don’t have to and that there’s no guilt to be felt, yeah right. Basically it’s ok NOT to be so strong. And on the “good DH note” his reply to all this was a wonderful thanks you but that “he was proud of how good I’m going I’m in a different place now than I was when Jen had her baby, so the situation is totally different” and it is in a lot of ways. But it’s good to know, I guess there are those who can “get it” even if they’ve never been here. There few and far between but it’s nice to know they exist and I am beyond grateful to have one of them in my life.

Sounds like you had some well deserved fun this weekend! I don\'t see anything wrong with drinking before your cycle starts. I think some people take the recommendations as gospel. I don\'t have any pregnant friends, so I can\'t relate to what you are going through with your friends. Everyone I know had their kids 5 years ago or more. Still, I wish some of them would have been as understanding back then as yours are now.
