Did you get the license of that truck?!? Bad night broke down, uncontrollably. Received what looked like a collection notice for the Oct IVF cycle, $1211.63, due in 30 days! Insurance adjustment made in November left a balance. DH and I went through very scrap of paper pertaining and nothing! I lost it. Here I am trying to prepare for the next cycle and Mack truck 1200 miles a hour. I just couldn’t face another fight, another set back, another unexpected bill. I realize I’m luck any of it covered, I’m keenly aware of that, but doesn’t make the struggle any easier when side-swiped. And this after we found out about the deductible and co-pay due before the next cycle due asap.   So DH come to me today and says call them see what’s what and if it’s legit offer them half, if they don’t take, don’t say anything other than then you can speak to my husband and he’ll fight them. It’ll be ok, but I’ve done enough fighting. I call the insurance company, turns out apparently it’s the remainder of the deductible and 20% co-pay well maximum of $1000 so it’s the maximum. HELLO, aren’t these things normally brought to ones attention before the service like when I was calling to find out what policy covered and didn’t, or the insurance coordinator told there’s this owed before service like with our new ins co….not 5 months later! And out of the blue. I’ve received statements from company for every lab or x-ray, but never anything for this! Not in the 6+ months since the service was approved, I’m sorry but this is b-sh*%. So we have to write a grievance letter and hope for the best. In the meantime the “collections letter” was a regular old bill they’ve noted the account as to what the situation is and the woman I spoke to agreed that it’s was very odd and a grievance is very justified. So it’s not problem solved but its problem maybe not so bad and not hanging SO heavy over our heads. Write my letter and let it go for now. Then let hubby handle it J   I know we all can agree that with everything we deal with in our journey to have a family, something so simple to some, that having to deal with having to pay and fight with the insurance companies should be illegal. Even for those of us who have coverage it’s a battle, it ain’t free we pay thousand of the policy or policies themselves, then hundreds in co-pays and top it off with potentially thousands of additional fees/deductibles/co-pays or out of the blue bills! For those of us without policies the burden is much worse. And it’s not right. I dream and pray and will fight for it not to be that way. For a time when our dieses is given the respect and support it deserves, we didn’t ask for this, all we’re asking for is the chance to have a child. If our doctors feel it’s medically reasonable then we should be able to have the choice to put our bodies and minds and marriages through whatever treatment is medical sound and suggested…THAT should be our “price” and that’s it, believe us with that we pay plenty.   Ok off my soapbox now, well for now!

You are so fortunate that insurance covers as much as it does, mine doesn\'t cover anything. However, no one wants or needs another bill and the stress of determining where the money will come from and if it\'s a legitimate bill. Hang in there, it sounds like you\'ve got a big cycle to focus all of your positive energy on! :-)
