What a week! With the RE appointment on Monday came all sorts of questions and concerns about the insurance now! Mind you the insurance issues were what caused us only being able to fit one IVF cycle into last year, so naturally I was “a bit” concerned as to what the change in insurance companies is going to do to my ability to pay hence if and what I’m covered for and my schedule. Not get me wrong I know I’m lucky to have Infertility covered to begin with, if I didn’t I don’t now what we would have done. But just because it is covered doesn’t mean it’s a stroll down easy street. So finally today it’s realized that the fact I don’t have a card with all the information on it means the hospital and RE can’t put in claim for approval. So I had to figure out a way to get what we needed, oh a website! Well the website gave you just enough information to freak you out, coverage is general and none of my docs or hospitals seems to be in-network! Just GREAT! And surf around as much as you like and there are no finding answers! So I have to compose myself and call the 800# where I ask about a thousand questions. I think I have a better understanding of it all now and it’s not as bad as I feared. HOWEVER, approval process can take up to a month and my FET cycle is supposed to start at next AF which should be in about a week and a half! So I’m thinking I have a problem. DH depending on how he’s feeling today just might freak out. Now instead of hopefully being PG in two months we wouldn’t be starting for two months! On the good side, acupuncture, message and yoga DVD’s are either discounted or partially covered WHICH I will certainly need to take advantage of if I’m going to have to wait around another couple of months!
