Had my Peer Group Meeting last night. Such a mixed bag of nice to see familiar faces and keenly aware that that's also not so great. It’s just nice to sit face to face with other woman who are experiencing the same emotions, we’re not all on the same path, but it’s the same journey so to listen and be heard is a great comfort. The last two times there were actually husbands there, and interesting perspective. I got home to tell my husband about it and he though I was giving him some hint that I wanted him to come too. I hadn’t really thought about it and told him it was entirely up to him. Although I do think it might be nice to make friends with another IF couple, would be nice to have another couple who understands. Could be good to talk to and share and to NOT sometimes too. Something about the possibility of just going out to dinner and enjoying a evening with others who are in the same place and yet NOT having it be about that, would be wonderful. Kind of similar to this past weekend and being around people who aren’t in the know and so there was this comfortable space between. Probably sounds ridiculous, as if two couple who are going through this could get through an evening not talking about IF. Even if that might be some pretty good “medication” for it. So the weight is lighter today. My Best Bud also though that calling the RE’s office and see if 1) I could see her for the follow up at her other office sooner, she splits her time or 2) since I know it’s the Lap route we’ll be going if I could make the surgical appointment now rather then have to wait until I do see her, which may not be until Jan and that perhaps shave a couple weeks off this waiting! So we’ll try that. Have to at least attempt to be pro-active.
