I was having some good thoughts..working towards the breakthough..then the ex TOTALLY pissed me off..His day to pick up the kids and calls me to tell me that he has to let me "know about something"..knows the kids will "narc him out"He had the kids in his un-marked police car. Hears a call about a stolen scooter..spots the scooter..STOPS the guy and "holds him" until the uniform guy gets there. With my kids in the car. So much for me "knowing" that they are safe when they are with him. I could tell from the sound of his voice that he knew he had made a huge mistake..acted first and thought later. That's him. Job first...kids later. When we were married it was job first..wife later..kids WAY later. That was only because I was the one having sex with him. Bumped me up on the list. He had no obligation to his job WHATSOEVER to stop that guy.I told him that the next time he has to make a choice like that I expect him to choose the kids safety over a scooter..over anything!!Kids were still with him so I didn't say what I wanted to say..which is..if he EVER does anything like that again I will HAVE HIS ASS!! I will tell him that when he brings them home. How am I supposed to trust him with my kids??

I feel for you. That would be very frightening. Thank God it was just a scooter stealer and not something more serious.

This is the single hardest thing about this divorce garbage - having to coparent with someone you no longer trust or respect.

Not sure I\'ll ever figure this out.

the scooter stealer could have been high on crack with a loaded gun. he has pulled people over that had loaded guns under the seat of thier car. He has been shot at..and has shot back. He knows what could happen. I know too..because I was married to him for 14 yrs. I am not a happy camper right now. I am going to steal Hollys GRRRRR again.

OMG,Che2, I hear and feel, also having been married to a cop and have been with him in a personal vehicle and he decides to take off at speeds topping in 100mph (didn\'t know my previous car could go that fast) while he has me call dispatch for him. Thank god, my daughter was NOT with us. All he had was his gun, no radio for backup and me trying to talk to dispatch for him. Write this incident down somewhere for future use. Hopefully, you will never have to use it, but you never know.

Makes me glad I am not married and was never married to a cop. Sorry Che!

Sorry to hear about that incident. That is scary to think your kids could be put in harms way over a scooter. If he wanted to help, he could have easily called in the other officer and let him know where the guy was. I guess maybe this would hurt his ego to have to call someone else for help. LOL
