A couple of people asked me at my meeting this morning if I was "feeling okay".. never a good sign..

One of my friends told me yesterday that she thinks this is all catching up to me. Everything happened so fast. One day he was here and the next day he was gone and I was sitting in an lawyers office filing for divorce.

The divorce happened fast. That had it's good points..

My ex has kept up the silly phone calling. 4 phone calls yesterday about Mothers day and I had already told him to keep the kids Saturday night and I will pick them up Sunday morning. He wants to double check and "verify" everything. That is getting old.

I think it's official. I've been fighting it for the last few days but.. I am in a funk.

Still have the pills that MD prescribed when I was in his office right after all of this happened..getting tested for every disease known to man. Guess he thought that I would need them.

Not there yet..instead I am going to make a hair appt. for Saturday. Going to a movie with a friend Friday night. Hopefully Saturday will be nice and I can get some sun. Do some more yard work. No kids on Saturday.

Trying not going to give into this mood I am in. It won't last. It never does.

I know it\'s different for all of us... but sometimes, I have to \"give in\" in order to get through.

Sometimes too, it\'s nice to have the prescription there \"just in case\".

This process takes a long time... and it certainly doesn\'t help when the ex plays games.

Seems like a great thing that you have the awareness that you have.

My thoughts are with you, and your kids.

my funk is getting funkier..Mom stopped by and her surgery is this Friday..this is good..needs to be done..but she will be in ICU overnight. She will get to come home on Mothers day if all goes well but no church. I am not going to church by myself on Mothers day..kids run off into childrens church and I will be sitting there alone?? No thanks. This Mothers day weekend I\'ll take care of my mother..good that ex has the kids. I will still get them on Sunday and we will take dinner to my Mom\'s house. I am going to bring back the Leep \"reset\"..2 weeks left of school..summers coming.. mom\'s heart will back in good form and no more surgeries..beach..my 40th birthday (okay that is not so great).. VEGAS!!! Okay..THATS a good one!!

This is tough work, no doubt about it - raising kids by yourself. You appear to be the strong one in the family - taking care of mom, being the stronger sister, being the one others look to for support. That\'s great, and wonderful, and....exhausting!!

It is good that you recognize this and are doing things for yourself at this time. If you don\'t do these things for yourself, who will?

Darn. Your b-day set me off on a rampage about my b-day and I had to go back and delete. Glad I did before I hit enter. Would not be good to put you back in the funk again. How far are you away from beach? I am 3hrs from Ocean City, MD and 6hrs from OBX. Man, I so want to go to OBX this year -- but not by myself and not just with the kid. Do you go with friends? I have no one to go with yet. Best friend is unable to walk and therefore unable to walk on beach with her walker or wheelchair. So she won\'t go. Ocean City is too crowded for her. Well, guess I will spend alot of time in my bathroom as that is about as close as I can get. LOL. Beach theme started. Bedroom is not. Wish I was closer and could visit. Remember, Connor and Carla have the same b-days and both start with the letter \"C\". I still cannot get over that. That is just too unreal how your and mine life are so mirror images --now if I can just get my attitude close to yours. Ho hum. I am trying. Flower guy got a dirt bag?- oops, meant soil guy--eww soily pants. ick. Kidding. I purposely said dirt bag. a little fun--maybe a smile :) hmmm?

It\'s 80% you even if you take the meds. To feel better, you have to work at it. You have to tell yourself that life is getting better and better days are ahead. Just like your plans for this weekend, having something to look forward to helps the most. Getting out and staying in touch with people is also a good remedy. But just keep looking at things half full and you\'ll be fine.
