My parents got a taste of my silly communications with my ex tonight. He called..I didn't anwer (my new MO)..he left me a message asking me if he can take the boys for an ice cream tonight. Might be a little late. I called him back and left HIM a message that this was, of course, fine. He calls me back to verify that it is, in fact, okay for him to take the boys for an ice cream. YES IT IS OKAY!! Really didn't need to ask but YES it's okay.

My mother was disgusted. My father congratulated me for the "positive reinforcement" that I gave my ex.

This was my day today. Several conversations with my ex. 2 of them related to a mutual friend that had major surgery today. That was fine. The rest were like that. He wanted to chat today. Talk about the boys and how he is not going to be able to live in the basement forever. Blah..Blah..

He did tell me that he is going to help with summer daycare expenses. He pays child support which is about $250 less every month than child care ALONE this summer. I guess even he knows how crazy that is. I didn't ask but I will let him help.

I could have raked him over the coals financially but didn't. The "ease" of my divorce (comparatively speaking) and the custody arrangements that I wanted were more important.

A clear consious, the ability to look at myself in the mirror every morning and like what I see, my kids being with me...PRICELESS!!!

For everything else there's Mastercard.

(if you haven't ever seen the commercial..that's why you didn't get that)

I know I already said you were a fantastic mom - but you are.
I am going for primary custody with every other weekend visitation and coordinated visitation on summers and holidays. He has to coordinate all through me. I figured that gives him ability to have my daughter whenever he wants (not during week or Sunday nights on school year) but and every other weekend but he has to coordinate all else with me.

We\'ll see :-) I\'d like him to send some money my way but don\'t really care, I\'m the primary financial anyway, the little money he makes will have to support him... but he still should pay something towards the expenses of his daughter.

Sorry to blab and blab and blab and blab :-)

Hope your mom is doing well.

glad that your mom is out of hospital. And, you are a great mom, very conscientious of both kids, and your time with them is precious. And agree with you on part with getting custody and having bonus of being with them more. Time with our kids is priceless............there sometimes is not enough time to be there for them.

I don\'t think anyone really wins in in protracted court settlements and negotiations - the only winners are the lawyers.

What a silly way to communicate. I guess I can\'t blame you for not answer, the wound is still too fresh. But at some point you two will need to talk (at least once or twice a week) regarding the kids. Not sure how much he sees them now, I know the agreement, but not sure if he follows, the dumbass.

Extremely glad your mom\'s doing fine. Now how do you say goodbye in the south, oh yea, Y\'all have a good day now, ya hear.
