Well, it got a little better..I guess..
Talked to ex for about 1/2 hour. Finally got something that resembles a sincere apology. We talked about the kids and the house. I tried to get him to see that his leaving didn't just create one change for the kids..it was just the first of what will be a long series of changes. new people and new places. EVERYTHING changes for them and I just want to try to minimize that. We talked about new people in our lives. He told me that he does not "relish" the thought of me being with someone else but he knows that will "probably happen". Nothing major and he is still clueless but, as far as I know, there is no cure for clueless.
Took the plunge and signed Connor up for the summer program that I think is best suited for him. More expensive than I thought but he needs to be somewhere and I want him to have a good (and safe) summer. I thought of a couple of possible solutions to my summer finances (nothing illegal) so I am officially OVER IT!!
One of the family members of a patient that I lost not long ago called me today. needed me to come over. She was having a really bad day and told me that she called because she knew that I could get her through it.
Today I am thankful for the ability to help another person find peace and clarity on a difficult day..even when I have little of my own!!
