Well..10 yr old answered my cell yesterday and flower guys name popped up! Who's that he asked.. well had to tell him that mom has a friend..no big deal.. just friends..
This did not sit well with my son. At first he started in with "mom has a boyfriend" then he was just plain unhappy. We talked and I told him that I am going to talk to people..thats what grownups do BUT it will be a long time before there will be another man around here and ONLY if it is a man that I am sure would be a good person for all of us! whew....
Flower guy is not going to call me while I am at home anymore. I will call him when kids go to bed.
I feel like I am in HS again..hiding flower guys and sneaking cigarettes. At least then I didn't have a mortgage!!
All of this has made me think about the promises that I made to myself when all of this happened. #1 promise..kids first!!!
TGIF tommorrow and ex has the kids for the weekend and part of Spring Break so I will have some time to ponder my life..sounds like fun doesn't it??
Not going to work on my list today. i will drink some wine tommorrow and work on it then. probably make it a LOT more intersesting!!

Kids are first but don\'t forget your needs too. I know it is a delicate balance.
My daughter is older so she knows (and she\'s happy for me) I told her don\'t tell dad - I\'m sure she has.

The other good thing about calling when kids are in bed--off peak minutes. Not at 4000 like you, but my minutes have definitely increased--1000 plan and counting. Yea, 6 months ago this phone was for \"emergencies only.\" Does divorce qualify?
yes it does..I was on mine non-stop at first..plus I use it all day for work because i am on the road..house to house.. I had 2000 but was going over and NEXT plan up was 4000..I use about 2500 a month but I cut off long distance at home so i will use it for all of that too..
also..flower guy has been calling later at night..it was past bedtime we just hadn\'t made it there yet..
I agree kids first and talking after they go to bed seems like a good idea, until you realize that you haven\'t been to bed before midnight all week. Boy, I\'m tired. :)
He is 10 and he has joked around about me getting a boyfriend, etc BUT the reality is that he will not be ready for a long time. This hit him hard. he was close to his dad and it really came out of the blue. I am not going to have men around here AT ALL. When/if I meet someone that I really want to be in my life I will bring him in carefully and see how it goes. Kids first..always..not going to put them thru anymore.
