Mondays pet peeve...
Things that have to be installed and are, apparently, so easy and self- explanitory that no directions are included...
In todays case...door beads for my sons room. They are hanging...I am sure that they are not right..but they are hanging.
Finished his room yesterday ( minus the door beads) and he was so happy about it that he got up this morning and made his bed!
My kids have had the " great" idea that it would be fun to have every morning be like we were in the Army. 10 yr old has made out a schedule and we get to take turns being the " drill sargeant". The idea is the this will make our household run more smoothly in the mornings. I have been informed that we will begin this new way of life on the Monday morning following Spring Break. Do other mothers go along with this kind of stuff???

I remember being 12..yuk!! She will adjust to things being different. The financial stuff is hard. Lickily, kids have been understanding and I had a tendancy to say no sometimes just so that they would hear it once and a while.
hmmm I was drill sgt last night with my kids and we did get the house clean!
I think it sounds like a great idea. If they feel like they own and control that morning routine, they will probably be ready on time. And you can share the blame when the karate stuff is forgotten!
About those beads, you picked up the guy version.
