Life
I spent yesterday morning at the local Nursing Home, having prayer with those that requested it and visiting with those that just needed someone to spend time with them and let them know someone cared about them and loved them.
This morning, I went to breakfast and came back and picked up limbs, from the trees, that had fell everywhere, due to the terrible ice storm we had last week. I picked these up in both of my neighbor's yards. The neighbor's on the South of me are in their late 70's and he is crippled and can't do much. I help them any time I can.
I also started my Harley today and let it warm up good. This will be my 55th year of riding motorcycles. For some reason, I feel that my being here on DS, has about ran it's course. It seems that my messages are fewer and fewer all the time. Those that were wonderful, close friends, seldom contact me, anymore. When I answer a post, I sometimes offend people and that has never been my intention. I post things, no-one or few comment. I post Messages every week on ChristianChurch24/7 and few people ever comment. I have done this every week, for a year and a half.
I don't drink so, I don't fit in with those that do. I don't cuss so, I don't fit there either. I am a preacher and I have been told more than once "that preachers aren't very welcome here on DS". Maybe they are right. In the 3 plus years I have been here, I have never purposely attacked anyone, never purposely tried to hurt anyone and, I have never been judgmental of anyone. I am 66 years old and I guess most of the younger people here, really don't care what a man my age has to say anyway, especially an old biker like me. I guess maybe it's better to be a has been than never to have been at all. The experiences I have had, the sadness, hurt, and tragedies I have had in my life, I have tried to use, to show other people, that you can make it though these and life can have meaning. I guess somewhere along the line, I have failed and for that, I am truly sorry. I will continue to do what I can, as long as I feel I have something left to share and be help to others here. When I feel that I no longer can do that, I will gracefully bow out and try to help others somewhere in someway.
