I am so sorry that I haven't written in such a long time. Please forgive me. Seems like life goes way too fast these days. Friends the worst thing that could possibly happen, has. My 27 year old daughter , the one with the 2 babies has been dxed with FM!! This just totally breaks my heart.  I know there are worse things that can happen, but this is just right up there. It is different when it is you that has to suffer, seems like we can always find some way to manage. But Moms are the ones who help the boo-boos in their children feel better. How do you make this owie go away? I've always said I would not wish this on my worst enemy(MAYBE those wicked ass Social Security Judges!!  ;-)  ) Lol! So anyway, she was dxed 1 time and then they found she has thyroid probs. A few months later she is still in severe pain...shoulders, neck, back ...you all know those old familiar spots that the fibro monster likes to hide. Needless to say, the doc says she has it. I am so thankful she had my doc to go to. It saved her from the long search thru the medical association with one after another doc running tests after tests and finally concluding it is all in your head. This doc saved her lots of heartache and stress, not to mention $$$$. He has started her on cyclobenzeprine to relax those achey muscles, and he has started her on a anti-depressant(low dose)along with the ibuprofen for light pain and the percocet for the severe pain. Kinda started her on what he has me on. I am so happy that he is not one of those docs who withhold the meds that actually do some good in bringing our pain to tolerable levels. She is quite the tough one and has raised her fists up to fight the monster...Go Sarah! As far as myself goes...things have been pretty good for me. I am working a couple days a week. Some days I don't want to go but have found if I make myself go, I actually feel better than sitting home feeling sorry for myself. I did have gallbladder surgery a couple months ago. That set me back a bit, but I was very thankful that the doc was able to remove my gallbladder laproscopically. Still hurt, but nothing compared to what it is when they open you up all the way. Been there done that! The past few days have been a bit more painful, but I imagine that's from the weather cooling down. Crazy stuff! Goes from 100 degrees to 48 degrees! Just a reminder that old man winter is on his way. Darn it!  Oh, one more thing. My daughter has the name    leviandrubysmommy    and has joined this site. She is a real sweetheart and I would really appreciate it if you can all welcome her with open arms. She is  also on the cafe mom website and they, too have a fibro  forum, YAY!  Guys and gals, I think we are getting there and getting the attention we need to get the truth known about our lovely little disease.  The truth being, it's not all in our heads!  Thank you all for all the support you have given me over the many months I have been a member of this  site!  Hugs to you all!
