Well, the clutz in me showed up yesterday! I was visiting my mil at the nursing home and Hubby, me and mil decided to go sit in the bird room for awhile. Hubby pushed his mom in her wheelchair to the room and I was ahead of them. As I walked up to the bird house, I looked to see if the little baby that hatched last week was still there. As I stopped in front of it I backed up to see the baby. As I backed up, I tripped over mil's wheelchair(didn't realize they were behind me). I fell right into a large very HARD wooden bookcase. I hit my rt. shoulder, head and neck on it. Owie! Owie! Since I have degenerative disc disease and 2 discs have been fused and a plate put in there, I was worried that I may have hurt something in that area. Hubby was very worried and upset, I am sure he was worried that I had hurt my back some more, but anyway, he says- Can't you ever stay in one place, you're always having to be moving around! WHAT THE HECK!! He was behind ME! Anytime he screws up, he always turns things around so that it is my fault! I love him to pieces, and I realize he was probably just worried, but damn, that hurt me worse than the physical pain! I told him, That was nobody's fault, accidents happen ya know! His Mom wasn't hurt at all thank you, God! Anyway, I decided since the deductible has been met for the year, I should go ahead and get checked out. It turned out that I was really badly bruised, but nothing was broken and the bones in my neck were still as they should be. Thank you, God, again! They said in the ER that I would be very stiff and sore today and ya know...they were definately right. They said to rest today and take the cyclobenzeprine 3 times a day, and also take the percocet and ice the sore areas. They didn't say what to do about the bruised feelings. Oh well, I have been with him for 28 years and have had to get over the hurt feelings many times. I think it must be a man thing, for them to blame you when they screw up. I have told him lots of times not to blame me for his mistakes, but it still happens. My Dad used to be that way with my ma too. He is lucky I love him as much as I do, otherwise, he might not have had a home to come home to tonight! The turkey! On to something else, I knew just by the way I was hurting for the past couple of days that the weather was giong to change. This morning it is snowy, blowing and very cold out. I guess we can't get thru the whole winter without getting atleast a little bit of bad weather. Darn it! It's suppose to be -20 degrees tonight. Brrr! Time to cuddle up in front of the fire and get out the warm blankies! Hope you are all warm and painfree! Hugs to all who are reading this!
