I'm sure this journal entry is not going to be popular, but it's what is on my mind today, and I've got to say it.........I'M NOT LEAVING DS!! There have been a lot of things going on here lately, and for reasons you may or may not know about, a lot of people have decided to leave this site. If that's what someone believes they need to do, I wish them well. But let me tell you my reasons for STAYING: 1. I have met some of the best people on here that I have ever encountered in my 41 years. 2. I have discovered that I need these friends. 3. Just because I might disagree with what someone thinks, or says, or does, does not mean that we cannot have a valuable relationship, we might just learn something from each other. 4. What I think about the "powers that be" don't make for a hill of beans. It's their site, they can do what they want, and I knew that when I signed up. 5. I will not let a disagreement with ANYONE about ANYTHING deprive me of some of the best friends I have ever had. That's just my 2 cents worth, like it or not. To all the friends I have that are leaving, I love you and wish you well. To all that are staying, it might be a bumpy ride, but let's hang onto each other and ride it out.

1&2, good reasons. 3. I agree too, I usually never the one to cut ties, but some people just shouldn\'t interact and unless both know it, one has to take the initiative. 4. Yep, I learned that 955 forum sites ago back in 2003. there is no Free speech when someone else controls the Axes. 5. good for you.

You are smart and articulate and not a smartass. That\'s the way to express yourself. I agree wholeheartedly about meeting such wonderful friends (YOU!) and I wish those who leave the best as well. Sometimes it takes strength to get rid of what is not good for us.
