4:30 on Saturday morning, and I am wide awake. I had to get up early anyway, I'm going shopping with my mom in a little while, but this was a little earlier than I planned to get up. Oh well, the wonders of Solu-Medrol. At least I have time to sit and enjoy my coffee which I haven't done all week long. Today I will start my prednizone taper after 3 days of the IV, so hopefully I won't crash so bad. And I have 4 days off work, the weekend then Monday and Tuesday for Christmas, so hopefully I can get some good rest. I have a huge pile of work on my desk at my job, but I ain't even gonna worry about it until Wednesday. The next 4 days are for ME. Well ok, and for my family. I will do as much family stuff as I feel like doing, but hopefully they will understand when I crap out and just sit on the sofa for awhile. Today will be a little busy, but I should be able to catch a nap sometime, then tomorrow will truly be a day of rest. Monday and Tuesday are going to be the family days, although Greg has to work Tuesday, you know the mail must go through. He's not a local carrier, he hauls truckloads of priority mail from here to Virginia every day that he works, getting it there to be ready to go out the next day. If you live in the NY area, and get some priority mail, it may have come off his truck! He takes it halfway, to VA, the someone else takes it to the NJ/NY area. Just thought you might like to know that. I'm rambling now, it's 4:40 in the morning, I'm allowed. When I go shopping with my mom this morning, I have to get a couple of Thank You cards. One I will be sending to the nursing unit of the hospital where I had my IV's done. They were the most wonderful ladies, and I think nursing is one of the most underappreciated occupations there is. I only wish I had the guts and the stamina and the smarts to be one. I am a firm believer in that if someone does something you appreciate, you let them know. Life is too short to not show your appreciation for someone that has been good to you. It makes them feel better, and you as well. That's another reason I am so in love with this website, I may not be the most active on here, but I can come on an say what I want when I want to say it, and if someone doesn't want to hear it, they don't have to read it and can just pass it by. There are quite a few on here that I consider wonderful friends, some are aquaintances, but no one is any less or more important in my world than anyone else. We are all a sum of the people we meet during our lifetimes, and I feel like I have become a better person for meeting and interacting with the people on this site. So thank you very much to ALL of you for being a part of my world.
