nothing spectacular lately so i'll just tell you a little something when mychildren were growing up.  i had been recovering from the mumps that my babysitter gave me when my daughter dissapeared from the back yard. she was about 4 at the time and was playing in our pool (with life jacket on) with her oldest brother who was 10 at the time. i was very tired from the illness and i was moving as fast as i could from back to front yard yelling for her and about 2 minutes later she answers me. " i'm right here mommy!" i explain to her that she can't leave the back yard without telling me. so i tell her to go back in the yard right now and she says yes mam and starts walking in that direction.  well i in my very tired condition think everything is fine and i can go back in and finish washing dishes. well i go back to the sink and i figured i would watch that she stays in the yard from the kitchen window by the sink.  and wouldn't you know i still don't see her! so after going out and yelling for her again and getting no answer i go ask both our next door neighbors that she likes to visit (they are both over 60 and love her visits). neither have seen her and now it is more than 10 minutes or more since i last saw her.  i am wondering would i be thought of as panicking too soon if i call the police?  by then one of my sisters see me looking a little too flustered and asked what's wrong and she says she will get all the neighbors looking and that i should go sit down and call the police to be on the safe side.  i felt a little better for awhile until an hour went by and still no sign of her.   so after about one more hour and i'm told she was found 9 blocks from the house!  the woman that found her is pregnant and i have to wait for her to leave before i can hug the child i thought i had lost to god knows what sinester act.   when i finally asked her why she didn't listen to me she tells me she had to get me flowers for mother's day!   oh great, how do you tell a child she was naughty after that!
