at this time of year i remember when i was a small child, making my list to santa and getting excited about the christmas decorations going up all over my neighborhood. my dad would put lights on our house and put up the tree asking who wants to help him. after i would sit in front of the aluminum tree watching the color wheel turn the tree different colors. every year i never got tired of this. but every year i never got what i asked for. when i grew up i asked my mother why i didn't get the barbie i asked for several times. it wasn't because barbies cost too much or they ran out at the store, no it was because barbie has a too perfect figure. i never noticed this till she said it. and i didn't care that she did. i laughed at my mother for being so silly. she then explained to me that all her life she thought she was too heavy when she was growing up and was afraid we might feel the same if she gave us a barbie. hoping everyone gets their wish this christmas.
