Finally snagged the computer from my husband and son. They have had two computers hooked together so they can play two player games together. But seriously!!! Three days!!! Finally put my foot down and said there is one other person in the house that would like to get on the computer too. lol I had a great doc appointment on Monday. Finally found a doc that treats fibro and believe that it is a real disease. After her poking and prodding and asking a whole bunch of questions we came up with a plan. She upped my Nortryptaline, (sp?) to make sure that I get enough sleep. Prescribed Prozac, which I have taken before, to help with my moods and coping with the pain. A low dose but may up it in the future. And Vicodin. She said that I needed the Vicodin to help get the pain under control. Can't really do anything until my pain is under control. As soon as we get a handle on that she wants me to start going to a pool that is close to my house. The clinic has a "deal" with the pool that if the send them a referral I can take any 8 week session for $1.00 (yes one dollar). I can take as many sessions as I want and I can use any of the other things at the pool, like the sauna, and hot tub. The people at the pool are trained in water therapy and water exercises and know what I can and should not do. So after my appointment I felt so much better, mood and attitude wise that I was able to enjoy the holiday. I was still in a lot of pain, but wasn't so crabby. lolWe always open presents on Christmas Eve. My daughter and her boyfriend came over. Every one was really pleased with what they got. I got a beautiful ring from my hubby. Money was tight this year but we put a budget on what we were going to get each other and he pulled it off. I don't know how, but he got me a Garnet, which is my birthstone, and diamond ring. Diamonds are not big but it sure is sparkley. lol I love it so much. He was so proud of himself for getting it too. He was like a little kid wanted me to open it first. lol Did I tell you I love this man. lol My daughter got me some new towels and some of the most snuggly socks I have ever felt. I keep wiggling my toes in them, they feel so yummy. lol My daughter has a good guy too. He got her a Bronco's Jersey. lol She was jsut as happy with that as I was with my ring. They are so cute together. My son got a memory card from us for the PSP that he got from his dad, and a couple of games that my daughter and I went in together on. My hubby got what he asked for, long johns and wool socks for work. lol I kinda felt bad but he said with the whole bail thing that he wanted to spend the money on us, and didn't want us to get him much. But mine and his birthday is coming up in January. I plan on getting him the MP3 player that he wanted then. Then today I cooked like a mad woman, with help from my daughter, a 23 pound turkey with all the trimmings. My kids were a little disappointed that I didn't do the home made rolls, pies and goodies that I usually do but they understood that I wasn't up to it this year. My mom in law drove down from her house to drop off her gifts and give us Christmas hugs. She lives 50 miles away and couldn't stay because it started to snow and she is very allergic to our cat. So she was here for about 20 minutes. lol She got my hubby and I mugs with a picture of her and her Labrador Retriever on it. Said now if I want to have coffee with mom all I had to do is use my mug. lol She is a wonderful lady and I got really lucky to get a mom in law like her. Christmas starts off a stretch of celebrations. Christmas, New Years, my birthday on the 8th of January, my hubby's birthday on the 19th of January, our anniversary on the 10th of February, and then Valentines day. I have the kind of guy that celebrates all of these important dates. He and my daughter are already making plans for my birthday. And I am making plans for his. lolSo since my last journal entry, I have been just taking it easy, watching my son and my hubby play on the computers and enjoying this time of the year. I hope everyone had a great holiday!!!Susan
