Today was a good, but now I am tired day. Thank God for my nephew. He is 16, but he is the best kid. He asked if he could stay last night, and we always say yes. I said something about having to go to the store today and he volenteered to stay with Dave till I got back from shopping. I had not gone in awhile and I needed alot of things. I left here about 12:30 and got home about 3:30. Everytime he is over, he is such a big help. He will put him on the nebulizer, or get him whatever he needs, or change a lightbulb, anything but give insullin, he hates needles. I called when I was almost home and asked if everything was ok. He said yes, and proceeded to tell me that I had been gone for 3 hours. I knew that hubby didn't need medication or anything while I was gone, and that all he had to do was make sure he was stable on his feet when he went to the bathroom, or get him a new innner canula if the other one clogged up. He knows that if anything serious happenes to call 911. I asked him If I was grounded. He just laughed. He even helped me bring in all of the groceries. While I was out, I saw one of the husbands of a client I used to do. He is a great guy. She has MS and he does everything for her. she is to the point where all she can do is talk. She can't move anything. She is a great inspiration. She always has something to say. Good or bad, but always makes you laugh. I told him that I had to quit my job to become Dave's caregiver. and he was there to cheer me up. He could see that I was tearing up as I was talking, Their children grew up with Dave, so he knows my hubby. He told me that I was a strong person, and he knew that I could do it. Gave me a hug and told me that he would be thinking about us. It really boosted my spirits today. Thought for today.....When you think you are in the boat alone, look around it is a big boat.
