Joy

Have I mentioned I am on an anti anxiety/depression medicine?  It has been since the middle of October.  What a difference!  I had no idea how depressed I had gotten. I feel more like me.  And despite the struggles I am able to find joy.  I have a strong faith and I know that besides the meds, the joy of the Lord is my strength.  I never got that until this year.  Without my faith, I am not sure I'd be able to maintain this.
I am so grateful for so many things and people.  I have a job that respects what I can bring to our school community.  The value me and allow me to use my scooter.  I have 2 co-workers, a husband, and a mother, who bring me to and from work (I no longer drive), I have a husband who loves me selflessly, and he tells me that we have something special.  A love that goes beyond physical.  I am so blessed.
So, although I struggle to walk with a walker, have pain from time to time, the use of one arm, gained 20 lbs, and have tons of spasticity, I still find joy and gratitude for each day.
