Happy new Year

It is hard to believe it is 2009.  How does time pass so quickly?  Time is so strange.  Sometimes I think back and wonder if I really had the life I had.  I miss so much all the things I used to be able to do every day.  I am learning, however, to be in the body i have today.  i think the hard part for me is finding joy in what mobility I still have.  I am able to walk still.  Sometimes pretty good and for quite some time.  Then there are days were the Grocery store poops me out.  I caught a terrible cold and this has kept me from my goal of regaining strength (gym workouts).  And although I have felt lousy from the cold, my MS has been pretty good for the most part.  My husband took me away for two nights.  We went horseback riding and gliding.  Very fun.  I reduced some of the stress of the Christmas Holiday by letting family know that there gifts were going to come after the New Year.  So today I have to pack the box and mail their gifts.   My goals for the New Year are to regain strength in my core.  I think this will help me with walking.  I also want to focus on positive thoughts.  I want to keep a gratitude journal to remember things I am grateful for.  I want to remember every day that the joy of the Lord is my strength and that there is no fear in Christ Jesus.  I pray for healing and a cure for this disease.  And I want to be a better wife to my husband.  Often the fear and frustration of this disease get in the  way of me being a loving wife.
