Bummer of a cold this week, but I'm starting to come out of it.  Cancelled some work and had a bit more time to obsess about things (like the stupid pink stork down the street on my neighbor's lawn) but I'm grabbing positivity where I can find it.  I saw this on someone's email sig line:  "Worry does not empty tomorrow of its troubles.....it empties today of its strength."  While shopping recently I also picked up a little placquard that reads "Put on your brave girl boots".  So keeping my eye on the goal - getting our surrogate pregnant, I'm choosing to look at the good news for today:  her lining is 8.7, which is good.  DH sperm looks good, and our egg donor started meds yesterday!  It takes an army!  That  is the biggest challenge is stepping back and letting the "team" do the work they need to do.  I feel somewhat like an athlete relegated to the bench.  I am grateful for the good team I do have though, including an RE who I very much relate with and respect.  Egg Retrieval is 10/28!  I'm dropping a modest gift off for my donor in time for her first ultra-sound - searching my brain on what to get.  No Hallmark Card for this one, I'm afraid.

Glad you\'re starting to feel better, and I love that you\'re finding positives where you can! I\'m so excited everything is moving right along. Haha- there definitely isn\'t a hallmark card, but maybe a spa gift certificate would be nice. Pamper your little nugget\'s home for the next 9 months and treat your surrogate at the same time :)

I am so excited for you. I remember this very thought just a few months ago.. Because our journey is so much alike, I know what you are feeling. This may sound strange - now that we are just about 20 weeks along, I am very much at peace that I was completely removed from the equation. I have no, none, zero thoughts of my own DNA/uterus being a part of this.. Just vanished like magic ! I want these particular babies so badly that I do not want anything to jeopardize the situation.. I am wishing you a smooth, safe journey and will continue to pray for your happy ending. xoxox

This path that you are taking is very brave and inspiring. I know it is hard to give up being the one to carry your child, but even though you can\'t carry your child in your body, you will always carry your child in your heart and soul!
