I've been on the road for two weeks now with the Readathon.I'm very lucky to be in the northern rivers as the country side is absolutely magnificent at this time of year - you would never know it's almost winter as the days are warm and balmy.Some of the schools are very tiny with less than 100 students but they all love to see me and listen very attentively. I have had some very funny questions and little kids get easily side tracked. Any mention of scars has all the hands up to show me their scars!There's still another two weeks to go before the readathon actually starts but the ms society reports that they already have over 3,000 registrations.Yesterday I had to go to a little school way up in the mountains. The town is called Ulong (pronounced You -long). As it is a very windy , steep road I asked my darlin to drive me so he finished work early and off we went. After the presentation we had lunch at the Ulong Club, looking out over a glorious valley vista.Fortunately I've continued to feel quite well which is just as well because some days I do three hours driving.The house work has been put on hold but it will still be there when I'm finished!
