There is a post here about how much MS changes your life. Most of the responses are sadly negative and I trully feel for those whose lives have suffered. I know I'm fortunate that I have an excellent neuro, a super GP, a supportive family (including a wonderful sister who works for the MS Society) and a man who loves me. When I asked my Darlin if I'd changed he said I'm as whacky as ever. I dont work anymore, but I was on the verge of early retirement anyway so it wasn't difficult having the decision more or less made for me.We dont have heaps of money and we live in a modest house in the country....What I have been blessed with is a sense of humour and a pragmatic attitude to life.Has MS changed me ? Yes , but in good ways. I take pride in small achievements; it's given me a sense of calm and content and removed worry and urgency from my life.Certainly I've had times of frustration and sadness but they pass.I would probably be howled down by saying that my life is better for having MS.I dont love my MS but I love my life because it's all I have and I intend to make the most of it.
