Haven't been here much thanks to not so wonderful satellite technology which doesn't seem to know we exist and when it does, wants to charge a small fortune for the privilege. It's not as though we are miles from civilization either.....sigh....I love spending time on the computer but it's been curtailed .... I have been well enough to do some gardening and on the weekend went and bought a whipper snipper light enough for me to use. I got home, assembled it, put on my sensible gardening shoes and my bowyangs (little skirts you wear on your ankles to stop crap getting in your shoes and leeches crawling up your legs) but within ten minutes the thing had caught fire. I took it back to the store and upgraded. Come home, go through the same proceedure and the new one lasted five minutes. In fear and trepedation I returned to the store, expecting a security alert to go off the minute I walked in but they were very sympathetic and gave me a replacement. By the time I go home it has started raining again. It has been raining here almost all of Jan and already most of Feb. Please dont say its good for the garden - the grass is as high as an elephants eye and I will have to buy a carton of beer for neighbour to bring in his heavy duty tractor and slasher just so I can get to the front gate. Speaking of leeches , we watched a rerun of African Queen last night...........eeeeewwwwww ickky   arghhhhhh   all those leeches............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor Bogey!!!!

Now I\'m really scared and running away!!! LOL I only have to fear mysquitos and West Nile Virus which sounds way better than leeches! Can\'t you just throw a piece of flesh to the side that would draw then away from you??? I fear that I\'d have to pull out the \"girl card\" if I had to worry about leeches in my yard! LOL xoxoxo Cj
