What a week1My Darling loaded up his truck with three suitcases of clothes, piles of Christmas presents, and Reg the cat and we set off. The journey would take approximately 12 hours and we planned to have a break along the way if I couldn't cope.We broke down on a busy expressway about half way to our destination and had to be towed to safety. For some reason I found the trip in the tow truck, nursing the cat in her basket incredibly funny! We ended up staying two nights waiting to get the truck going and finally set off again. (The cat, by this time thoroughly pissed off ) About an hour down the road a very bad noise pulled us up and to our horror, which soon turned to laughter, we discovered we had a flat tyre. Once fixed, we resumed the journey and finally arrived late Thursday. So, now the cat and I are settled in our new home, Reg doesn't like the dogs here much but I think she will adjust. We are already jokingly referring to these three days of madness as our 'honeymoon'. I am glad that we will always be able to look back on it as an experience to be remembered!.
