35 week u/s - still breech
Well, just as I thought, she has not turned. My Dr at this point, does not think she will. Her measurements are still ahead of schedule and he thinks she's just too big to turn now. He says she's pretty comfy right where she's at. The u/s was great, as usual. Fluid is great too. Her legs are measuring at 37 weeks already so she's LONG! And she weighs about 5 lbs 12 oz! We will be scheduling the c-section next week for 39 weeks. The date will obviously all depend on my Dr. but we're going to try and avoid scheduling it on Ian's bday which is the 11th (39w 1d). I personally still think I'll go into labor before that but shall see. It's just too bad because we just finished our second week of the birthing class and just learned all these beautiful breathing techniques and the role the support person has while we are in labor. In the beginning I was all about getting an epidural right away, but that decision has actually completely changed. I don't know, I just felt it was the right thing to do for myself, my baby and that miracle of experiencing the whole process of labor. To at least try it for as long as I could with no drugs. And now, it's not looking like I'll get this. I won't lie, I'm pretty upset about it, but I keep telling myself that if this is the worse thing that happens throughout my pregnancy, than this is nothing. As long as she is healthy that is the ONLY thing I'm concerned about. I still feel so blessed to have this miracle in my belly. To come this far and almost a perfect pregnancy, no issues, nothing. I mean what more can I ask for? We are truly blessed. So I get a c-section, so what? It is what it is.
I will update more once we schedule the c-section.
