Good morning dear friendsI went to my appointment yesterday and to my surprise they had finally found all of my old file, including the first ct from february.Like every other appointment with my lung specialist, I had to go for breathing test to see if the results were better or worse than theprevious times. this was the third time. Anyways it was worst than the other times. Cool, I kinda figured that one, since most of the time lately I do not wear my patch, so I smoke too much. Then for the results, I recaped everything for him, about what had been happening since last november, he then proceed to tell me the news about my second scan. the nodule is completely gone. Yes gone, lol.I was soo happy, and it showed, BUT he told me; " now you were very, very lucky this time, QUIT SMOKING, because all of these, showing me all the new meds and some of the old ones, he was given me, is all for nothing is you smoke. He gave me 4 inhalers of the advair, which are 104.00$ each, and 6 boxes of a new inhaler with a capsule in it, to take one time a day. All for free, I was soo happy, since my deducatable is 1200.00$/year, but everytime I go I pay for it, and nothing is free, and since my benefits from work are over, I am always bloody broke, so it helps a lot in the meantime. Now for all of you who have been praying for me, for these results to be good, Thank you, soo very much. PastorBob, Pam, BlueEyes, ect.... your prayers were answered. Now I am setting a date to completely quitting smoking, I need to do this on my time, and will, but first the brainwash and getting the chanpix at the pharmacy which have been there for a month now, I will pick up and give it my best shot, but again in my own time.Have a wonderful day to all of you kind people.MckOne day at the time

HALLELUJAH!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!(Pastor Bob is doing a happy dance). That is wonderful news my sister. I love it when prayers are answered so clearly. Now I will pray for success in your quitting smoking. I was a smoker (1-1/2 packs a day) for 14 years, so I understand how hard it is to quit.

Well mck, somebody is keeping an eye on you! - those things tend to grow, rather than disappear. Truly amazing. I smoked from 18 to 57: not heavily, except for the last 2 years, when elder d. lost it & went psychotic! Nicotine is the most addictive substance on earth - very same daughter told me this, & she\'d been on herion(quit cold turkey). I didn\'t think I could quit, but with the nicotine patches, and keeping moving; I found it far less difficult than I thought! Having a stroke was a big incentive, but it took nearly 5 mths. before I was ready to quit (some peace finally arrived in life). SO happy to hear this news, what a relief! Fond regards JaneD.
