Good morning dear friends..... Hope to find you well on this day.  smiley-cool.gif

I am feeling a bit more human today, finally.

I have a full agenda that is starting again tomorrow. FIRST GOOD NEWS>>> I have an appointment on the 17th september to join a free quit smoking program at our local hospital. The program consist of free patches, gum, and meetings. Just got off the phone with the lady in charge, and she asked how much I smoked, and I told her I was seing my lung specialist tomorrow, so she told me to reasure him that i was enrolled in their program. I am soo happy. As some of you know, I have  been trying to quit now, since my diagnosed in early July, without prevail, so this kind of suport just might do the trick for me.

Tomorrow, I am seing my lung specialist. A few weeks ago, I brought him the disk of my scan, and breathing tests results, ect... did bloodtest, so everything is there for us to discuss. since I have a nodule (tumor) on my right lung, I will ask for him to get me to get a biopsy done in order to rule out cancer.

Then on the 19th I am seing my PCP, will ask him to test me for RA and fibro from tx.

Feel a bit better, at least I'm up and around. I have this pain in my lower back, not sure if it's a pneumonia starting, sure feels like it.

Anyways, wish me luck for tomorrow. and I would like to thank you all for your support, it's soo important to me to know that you are here for me.

Have a great day!

Thats great Mckenzie, That will be a big help , I\'m sure, I hate I started again, I had 7 mths under my belt, It wasn\'t really the cig, that made me start, it a social thing, Stupid huh, Anyway I wish you all the Luck, I pray that You get the answers you need with your Lung specialist, Thanks so much on your response, I am going to mellow out about the viral load, I really need to consentrate on other issues, I feel better off that stupid medicine, so I will just not worry. Do my Lab and trust this new Dr. He seems nice, It is University Of Ks, and they study Hep C. and Aides,. Just hate How plans changed, My last DR, left for Africa to do research, and she had a different manor of doing things, Now I have to get used to this New Doctor, But I can, Enough about me, I want you to have a great Day, Prayers and Hugs, Sharla

HI Friend I had no Idea about your lung problem, went thru all that with my mom, If you have a biopsy do the scope, Pulmonary Doc told her that the needle biospy could cause her lung to colaspe. One thing I want to say is your hair in your pic is so pretty. If they have to do some thing about the nodle they can do a wedge, that\'s why they did the fuction testing to see how much o2 you are breathing in and if they have to do something they will know it is safe, I\'ll be thinking if you take care, your friend grey

I want to encourage McKenzie and others to please, please quit smoking asap. Just remember all the people that will be affected if, God forbid it, something happened to you. Your children, your spouse, your parents need to have you with them. The desire for a smoke NEVER goes away, least not for me (quit 12 years ago), but you have to keep your eye on the finish line! Be strong, ask for God\'s help, and good luck to you McKenzie. J

Hello, Getting the social support, as well as the meds. & gum, will be a really big help - once you\'ve made up your mind, it\'s really not that difficult: I found NOT doing the ordinary things at night (ie: my favourite chair, warm drink, TV, etc.)kept the cravings away - I went out as much as I could & tired self out! (IN your case, not too difficult) Yet another biopsy eh? - well, with your experience - just make a lot of fuss - seditives & p\'killers! Hope all goes well & that you don;t have pneumonia - the last thing you need! Bon Chance! JaneD.
