Hello dear friends,Had a glorious weekend, and to top it off, monday was my birthday and had a few surprises then also.I just love the fact that my son lives soo close to home. I can just get in the car and drive 2 minutes and boom I'm there. Of course he works and comes home late, like my hubby, but I can still visit with my grandson which I adore and my daughter in law, that I love too. Most mother in laws don't get along with their son's wives, but in our case we get along just fine. Tina is a good mother, and a good wife to my son, that's all I need to know. They have the grouds and house all ready for the B.B.Q./birthday/pool party this coming weekend. My party was supose to be done last saturday, but all of my side of the familly, sisters, husbands, and parents were gone to a Music festival for the weekend, so my son postponed the event to this saturday. It won't be a major bash, if everyone comes we will be 25 including children. We brought up Jade's swing set, it was sad to see my baby girl's swing set go but Jade is now 15 and it's a shame having it on my land and no one to use it. When Richard brought it to my son's farm house, my grandson was soo happy, so it made it all worthwhile.Monday night Richard brought me to our favorite restaurant, we are friends with the owner and girlfriend, we ordered our meal, and upon receiving my plate, I had two, the first one set on the table was the chicken I had ordered, and the waitress brought another plate immediately, it was a gift from the owner the chef Jimmy, a full 12 shrimps and gralic rice plate. They offered us a drink on the house also, but we don't drink soo I just enjoyed my beautiful meal. I rarely eat shrimps because I am alergic to them, but once and awhile I do have them and suffer the consequence, so I've been sick since eating the shrimp, but feel much better today. lolOk, had my PCP appointment on monday, yes on my birthday, lol, and had my list in hand so that I wouldn't forget anything. First I asked about my CT Scan on my left lung, and there is scarring which seems benign but the specialist will know more when I see him again. I do have the disk of my scan which I will bring with me when I go see him. I am diagnosed with COPD emphasyma, and my lungs strenght is evaluated at 60%, which is why it is crucial that I quite smoking all together. He says another 2 years I would have needed the oxygen. About the x-rays I had for my sciatica nerve, well apparently I have used disk, which is why my lower back hurts soo much when I stand up on the same spot for awhile or sit for too long of a time. I inquired about getting surgery on my eyes, since forever my eyes are always watery, and apparentely it's due to a blocage of the corner of both of my eyes, so I have been sent to see a eye specialist to do this particular surgery. My cousin's daughter had the surgery and she is cured. All other test are normal, even my hormone one, lol.I asked him to give me a note that says that I am ready and willing to go back to work, in order to finish my UIC benefit, I still had 27 weeks of regular claim, so having a doctor's note saying I was ready to return to work, as long as it wasn't at my last employer, I would be eledgible for those week.. At first my doctor didn't want me to go back to work, but I explainned that I needed it in order to get the balance of my claim.. So he did write restrictions even wrote that I had COPD emphacyma. I told him I always worked in a office so as long that there is no harsh smells of chemicals ect.... I would go to the job they might find for me. Most importantly I will be receiving an income again, I have been cut off since April, and in order to live confortably we need two income. Early next year I will start looking for a job. In three years I can retired, so it's not soo bad, I will be 50 by then. Now how have you've been ? Nice to be back. Have a nice week. One day at the time

Happy birthday, late of course. Glad you had a good one, and a close family. How is the quitting smoking going? At least you have the dx, now you can learn to deal with it. My husband has it also, but is doing fine, so it isn\'t all doom and gloom. Take care!
