Good morning.

Last night went over to my son's house, apparently mt daughter in law's father is technically dead, they are unplunging the oxygen support machine today.

Since he didn't want it in the first place, it's a wonder why they put him on life support.
Tina (my daughter in law) showed no emotion.
Funny how some people react, like I would have been crying my eyes out, but Tee nothing, no emotion at all.

So we all sat at the kitchen table, discussed things and then my son would tell me what she had mentionned before we got there.

My grandson, who never knew his pawpaw, sat drawing pics, not one word.

It was so strange.

Finally before leaving I rubbed Tee's back and told her to come and spend the day with me, so we can call the hospital and try to talk to someone on the same floor has her dad, ect...

As I kepted rubbing her back, tears came upon her eyes, poor girl, like I have been so close with her in the past 12 years, she considers me her mother, even if she does have one, but like I said they are the coldest people.

The father separated from her mom for years now, lives in Toronto, and the mum in Hawkesbury which is not that far, but she never comes down, especially the holidays are important in my book, but her mother is in the Jeovah witnesses, so they don't believe in gifts, birthdays, ect....

So like I said I have been the closest thing to a mom to her, and I love her dearly.

Dor her not to show emotions at was totally strange to me, my family are so close and loving, we are not afraid to show our feelings.

It takes all kinds I guess to make this world go round.

Anyways, My son called before going to work and his wife will be here in a few hours, so I will spend the day with her, and if she decides to go down and see her father, my ex, son's father will go down with them.

later.....

Morning, it is so different how families are. Hope of a relationship dies when a difficult person in our life finally goes. I like you come from a very close, in each other\'s lives family, and my husband does not. In fact, I am the one who has told his mother everything about his illness and subsequent choice to be treated. Odd. Well, I do hope today goes well for all there. You like us have your plate pretty full. I was curious, what have been your post-treatment conditions that never went away? Anytime you can answer, you have a good deal of family committments and we obviously are far from that point so no hurry. Many hugs and support your way in wonderful Canada

She is lucky to have you there. Maybe when you have some 1:1 time you can talk with her and she will be comfortable enough to let down her guard. Its a shame that its hard for her to show emotion like that. Probably isn\'t healthy for her. Poor thing.

Take care, hugsss San

I couldnt cry at my Dad\'s funeral..I was rather angry, but I still kept that to myself. when i was by myself i bawled my eyes out. My dad\'s side of the family were not the kind of folk who showed emotion. To show emotion was like to show weakness, it was considered low life. So I was very angry when my step mother did her \'show\' of emotions at his funeral, it was the biggest load of bull on display insensing my emotions totally. All the years he was with her and didnt care to notice what people were feeling he didnt see what a kniving emotionally driven player she was to reap so much advantage in the world with her \'performance\' by his side costing the love and care for his own children.
