Well I'm going to try to write in this journal more often.Today Wasn't a good day.I'm in a bad TMJ flare up.I need to go back to PT this week. And I need to get my TENS unit back from my Dad so I can use it on my face.I did manage to work On the Christmas cards and go through pictures to send to family members.I worked on the check book and paid bills, did laundry and went through my ribbon for the gifts.I need to eat something i'm so hungry but my teeth and jaw hurt to chew.Between tmj and IC i'm surprisedĀ  I ever get to eat.Boy it's hard this time of year.

You sound so ambitious!!

Have you ever been evaluated for myofascial pain in relation to your TMJ?? I have TMJ but it doesn\'t both me much so long as I keep my myofascial trigger points under control. Here\'s a link to an article that shows a few trigger points having to do with TMJ. http://www.drshankland.com/myofascial_pain.html It\'s not complete, but hopefully if you have some, it will give you an idea of their location and whatnot.

I used to have this pain in my teeth that went on for weeks on end and felt like every tooth was rotting out. I knew it wasn\'t as I\'d just had them crowned and it wasn\'t just one tooth, it was the whole side of my face. It all turned out to be caused by myofascial trigger points and is now under control.

Another great resource is triggerpointbook.com. I live by that book and take it with me if I\'m going to be gone overnight.

blessings.

Jackie, listen to jean, she knows her stuff. I to have tmj, it would be a lot better if I wore my night guard like I\'m supposed to. Read my journals back a few weeks. I have lots of girlie issues. You\'ll see. Hugs, Donna

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for the hug. I had to LOL when you wrote \"between the TMJ and the IC...\" I have lost 20 pounds b/c of the IC. I know how you feel. I\'d kill for a diet coke--thing is, if I drank it, it would kill me, lol. Take care.
