Oh its been so long since I've written so much going on. I wish I could spend more time writing but I never seem to have the time for myself. Always feeling guilty for the 2 younger girls. They missed out on a lot. By the time we as parents could deal with and try to move forward in this new life they were teens. Didn't have the same fun times trips etc that we did with ashley and kate. Doesn't seem fair so now I try to do what I can but not the same. And so I don't take time for myself. Oh well such is this life.

Understanding that you are doing your best and that how that might look and feel changes. I have found that our children are forgiving and I remember telling my daughter that this is how life looked for today, yet it would not always be this way in terms of my energy level and being able to do the things I had hoped I could. I was actually guided to say that by our family therapist because I felt so guilty too that I had to say, no, to things that I wish I could have said, yes, to. Of course, my daughter was older than your daughters, yet she really heard my heart in that moment and it helped.

Gentle care,
XO Joanie
