34 weeks!!! OMG I never believed i could get here!
Hello Ladies, sorry its been so long, a couple of you have pointed out you haven't heard from me in a long time, its been 10 weeks since my last update. I did actually write an update in between that time but DS wiped it just when I went to save it and I was so annoyed I couldn't rewrite it straight away. I have no comfortable place to sit with my laptop atm so the thought of writing a long update is a bit of a challenge.
Also I am very aware of the fact I am now on the other side of the fence and many people don't want to read about how amazing success is when they are still fighting so hard!!! I do remember fiding it quite inspiring myself though to see women in my exact position being united with the children they were destined to have, so I hope I can be that inspiration for some of you, while I keep my own record and keep you all in the loop.
I am 34 weeks today and I am still astonished every day that I am pregnant, I am loving every moment, obviously I could complain about plenty of things if I wanted but it feels a bit like complaining about having too much money in the bank or having a wallet that's too heavy!!
I am being watched like a hawk by the Obs and midwife which personally I love! I have another scan on Tuesday which ive been having every three weeks and currently I am thoroughly boring them! I have so many risk factors but my body is astonishing everyone by doing exactly the opposite of what they expect! Apparently IVF and Lupus babies are usually smaller and have less fluid than average pregnancies. My little man is a beast!! Every scan shows him measuring in the 97th percentile with heaps of fluid! I have other risk factors too and again blowing them all out of the water.
I have spent so long waiting for this it still doesn't feel real, and IF never leaves you, I will not believe it until im holding my boy in my arms!!! I spent so long counting down to different milestones of pregnancy that the whole thing has sort of ran away on me!!! 1st milestone 12 weeks still wasn't confident, then 17 weeks my massive bleed knocked any confidence I had! I spotted for 5 weeks so at 22 weeks it finally stopped but I still felt it disaster was just round the corner. I aimed to feel better and start shopping at 24 weeks since officially he was viable, but my brain was still not happy. Midwife told me 28 weeks he would be fine even if he came but 30 weeks was even better so I started counting down to that. Then I got there and started to aim for 34 so that I wouldn't be sent out of town for a better Special care unit.
Now suddenly I realise.......I am pregnant and this baby is only 6 weeks away! and could happily come in 2 weeks and be just fine!!! Its mental! The nursery is not ready, but I do have all the essentials should he come before the nursery, he will be sleeping in his bassinette in our room anyway. Its definitely not good for the nesting instinct though to have wood and paint and crap laying around and all the baby stuff in bags and boxes instead of in a pretty nursery!!! We have no names!! Joe just keeps vetoing them and saying we will decide when we see him!! ahhhh, I am working hard at training myself to relax for labor, since I spent so long counting up, suddenly I am counting down!!! eeeek!!n
I do keep an eye on you ladies and wish I could do more to help you all, but I plan to soak up and enjoy every minute of my boy as a tribute to you all. I will always remember you all every time I consider uttering a complaint about any of this journey!!! If only this was enough!!

I was just thinking about you the other day. I am so happy to hear you are doing well! I hope your last 6 weeks are nice and quiet!
I get so annoyed when thing get cleared before posting. I copy/paste everything now, just in case.
It\'s so good to hear from you, and I can\'t believe you are 34 weeks!! I\'m so happy to hear that this is all still blowing your mind and you are enjoying it. Of course some parts are not as fun, and you wouldn\'t be complaining. Sometimes, it\'s just not easy. But, I get what you mean :)
I hope that Tuesday is just as boring as the rest of the scans. It\'s so good to hear the little guy is growing well. I\'m sure the room will come together quickly, and even if not, you have all you need!
This is such a great time in your life. Enjoy every moment and allow yourself to just indulge in all the great things that are happening and that are about to happen. Best wishes for Tuesday! HUGS
