33w2D and counting

About a week or so ago, I wrote this long entry about baby still being breech and my hospital visit for non-movement (all is fine) and blah blah blah ... and I hit the wrong key somewhere and it erased. It took me so long to type that I never re-typed it.

Anyway there are new updates!  I'm just so excited that my baby shower is this Sunday already.  I can't believe how the time has crept upon us!  This past weekend, on top of planting flowers and getting stuff done around the house, we got some more done in the nursery.  Dressers are done - sanded, painted and moved in the room from the garage (where we were working on them), crib is put together, closet is completely done.  The most exciting piece of furniture in that room, my glider!!!!, is being delivered today!  The nursery is actually coming together.  The only thing left this week is to put up the word art,  hang pictures on the wall,  put the hardware on the dressers and that's it.  The room will soon be ready for Ava's things from the baby shower!  My sister, who is throwing me the baby shower (along with my wonderful mother), is staying the night at my house Sunday, taking off work Monday with me and we're going to get that room rockin!  I'm so glad the shower will be at my house so we don't have to lug all those gifts from elsewhere.  My mom at first did not agree (she's a bit old-fashioned) but I have the most room and it makes sense not to transport all those gifts.  I've done pretty good at not checking the registry.  I actually went the whole long weekend without peeking but my curiosity got the best of me today.  Had to check!  Can't help it!

I start a new prenatal exercise class tonight which runs 6 weeks until the end of my pregnancy.  It's called Fit4Baby and it's an excercise class taught outdoors by a certified prenatal instructor.  I was worried to start this class so late in my pregnancy but my doctor said it was fine and the instructor said she has many ladies start the class at 33+ weeks. Also, the class was not being offered until now.  It is an at your own pace type of class which I like.  I know I need that extra "umph" right now to keep me going to the end which is why I pushed myself to sign up for this.  Plus, the same instructor teaches another class after baby called Stroller Strides which is also held outdoors with your stroller and baby and I wanted to get to know the instructor and the ladies in the class.   I'm excited!

Then this Thursday we start our labor and delivery classes.  They are held every Thursday for 3 weeks from 7:00 to 9:00 at the hospital I'm delivering at.  I'm very excited about that too.  I remember signing up for the class thinking it was so far away!  Just a reminder that this baby is so close to coming!

And from here on out, we have doctor's appointments every Friday now.  I will be getting my next big u/s on June 11th when I'll be almost 35 weeks.  Dr. says he'll know more with that u/s as to the measurements and when they approximate delivery AND if she's turned or not.  If Ava is still breech by 36 weeks, we are going to discuss c-section options.  My doctor cannot perform the procedure where they turn her from the outside because it can cause pre-term labor.  I am on blood thinners so we CANNOT risk that.  Now is when they have to carefully monitor me to approximate when they need to get me off the blood thinners.  I've said this so many times but I really don't want a c-section but considering that this pregnancy has been smooth sailing, not a thing wrong, not a concern with any tests - if a c-section is the worst that happens, I'll take it.  I still thank God all the time that everything has gone so well so far.  I feel very lucky!

The only other thing to report on is that I'm pretty sure I've been getting Braxton Hicks within the last week or so.  They're not painful but very uncomfortable.  A few times where I have to sit down and breath for a second.  I've read so much about them and have been expecting them so I'm not concerned about those either.  And just yesterday I've starting getting this tremendous pain right in my groin area like where my leg and crotch attach (sorry tmi). I was sitting in my grass planting flowers yesterday and it started.  When I got up to walk around it was fine.  But when I sit for awhile it keeps coming back.  It's not as bad as yesterday.  Oh the joys of pregnancy I'm sure.  I will mention it to my doctor Friday.

More updates soon!
