HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Beautiful. That was tonight. It was beautiful.
I was honestly apprehensive about going to this party- I knew no one except the host, who I am going to school with and who I absolutely adore. And even though I barely got tipsy tonight (2 and a half shots just doesn't cut it anymore =p), I had a wonderful time.
I went out on a limb. I talked to people. I made light talk and small talk and then I talked about some pretty deep things, like my ex and my hatred of dancing in living rooms and how the vibrator my best friend bought me intimidates me (TMI, but I'm on high right now.) I was social. I was confident. I was fearless.
I made friends and I drank sparkling apple cider and at midnight a tall boy with shaggy blond hair picked me up in his arms and said "You are small and tiny! Happy new year, little girl!" Everything somehow goes into perspective.
I am so ready for college. I'm bored at home. I want new people, new adventures, new friends and new loves and new wonders. It's amazing. I am rearing at the reins. I am jumping at the gate. I am ready.
I hope everyone has/had a safe, blessed, wonderful, intoxicating, invigorating, exhilarating new year.
