Hello everyone! I hope you're all having a nice day! I just wanted to share with you some new knowledge I learned about eating disorders that surprised me.  A lot of you guys are so wise and knowledgeable, you probably already know these things, but I'll post anyway!!!      First of all, I learned that  pretty much all women have some type of an eating disorder. We all hear that little  voice that tells us we're not good enough and that if we only lost some weight, we'd be better people. The difference between them and us is that instead of that voice being in the background like it is for most women, it is the single, most important thing to us. It overpowers us, and through various circunstances, we learn to use it as a crutch to avoid dealing with other issues, whether consciously or unconsiously.  This is all makes sense when you think of how an eating disorder is about soooo much more than just thinking you're fat, it's about the way you cope and the level of distortion you see.       Also, I learned that it is very rare to have only one type of eating disorder!!! This surprised me because I had previously thought that I was a failure for not just having anorexia and not having to binge after starving for a while. It's such a dumb old cycle. And what I did learn scared me,,,that people  who ONLY restrict and over exercise, and never binge, have very little chance of survival. That was the goal I was aiming for, too. Oh  well, I'm very tired so I think I'm going to go take a nap. Love you all!!!!
